So basically, I live in a college town and often get free clothes from buy nothing groups on facebook. So long story short, I got some really cute clothes from this girl (I have a bit more of an alternative style so it’s rare to find clothes I love for free) but here’s the problem: She told me i’d need to wash them because she has a few animals. That was an understatement. The clothes literally smell like a zoo covered in pee and poop. I’ve washed the clothes literally like 10 times but the smell is still there. I cannot for the life of me get the smell out and i really don’t want to throw the clothes away. Does anyone have any tips? I’m a huge germaphobe so i will NOT wear these clothes until the smell is gone. they smell disgusting. thank you in advance for any tips. I’ll update with methods I try as I go.
