I messed up. I have been working on a crocheted blanket for two years now and somehow it managed to get stained from tomato-based sauces twice. It's already dried on. I have not put the blanket through its first wash yet in case there was some special way I could pre-treat the stains. The stains are pretty deep into the yarn too. It's 100% made of acrylic.
If there are any solutions that work a little bit faster than others, that would be great. It's for my grandmother and she just had emergency surgery today, so I really want to give it to her before she has surgery again on Monday.
