We have a good amount of pets (4 cats and 2 large dogs) and their fur seems to love to settle on the walls. Most of our walls are a cream color, and our pets have fur ranging from white to brown to black and gray, so it can be seen. Maybe not at a glance, but upon closer inspection for sure. I just spent some time taking our little swiffer duster to get the fur off, but it is small, so it takes a while and is tedious. So I come to you cleaning gurus with questions!
Is there a better method? I considered my vacuum with one of the bristle attachments, but only thought of it when I was finished. I was worried that maybe it was scratch the walls? They are satin finish.
Would an air purifier help at all? We have a whole house fan that I run about once a week with all the windows open, usually the same time I vacuum to help get everything out. I've considered an air purifier for at least the living room, but I wonder if it would get clogged really quickly between all the animals.
I do try my best to brush the animals st least once every 2 weeks (it's a big production even with my partner's help), but I never really notice a difference. The cats seem like you could brush them forever and never be done, even with the Furminator brush. One of our dogs is a German shepherd mix, so despite brushing he still will come inside, shake, and release a plume of hair. They get a bath once a month with conditioner to help remove hair, but it only does so much. I'm considering getting a grooming blow dryer to really blow out his undercoat outside. I know this is our life moving forward and I don't regret having them, but I'm pregnant with our first child and I want to do what I can to ensure a clean environment for them!
