Post Body

Please help me with getting odors out of my pillowcases. I’ve realized that it’s me, I make them stink. I’m an oily person, both my face and hair are very oily and I’m 99% sure that’s why my pillowcases/pillow stink. My cat has a pillow she sleeps on and I smelled the pillow and pillowcase and neither of them smell like mine. Mine smells dirty and unwashed. It doesn’t smell musty, it just smells bad. I’ll list the things I have tried below.

-hot and cold water for washing

-oxi clean odor blasters detergent

-a small bit of vinegar

-a small bit of dish soap and washed by hand

-extra soak before a normal laundry cycle

-the heavy soil option for a longer wash

-changing pillowcases daily (so it only takes one night for it to stink)

-multiple wash cycles

I also wash my face and hair daily, at night before bed. I rarely ever sleep with my mouth open, so I am pretty sure it isn’t drool.

I just bought pillow protectors that I’m going to use so that I don’t have to keep throwing out the pillows because the smell seeps into those. But I don’t want the smell to get into the protector and then have two things that now stink!! I’ve thrown out so many pillowcases now because I can’t ever get the smell out and I can’t stand it, please help!! Thank you
