Struggling with some carpet…

Post Body

I own a commercial cleaning company, and we regularly clean and extract carpets.

This new job, somebody previously cleaned the carpets and used way too much chemicals! Then they had to come back to fix the staining that the overload of chemicals caused, and they used even more chemicals…

I have been working on trying to get all the stains and chemicals out of the carpet. Been using just HOT water for the extraction, with no chemicals. I’m pulling up tons of suds, some film that floats on the dirty water and looks like a type of oil floating, and the water that is coming out is black in color like burned coffee or burned up engine oil.

I’ve cleaned the areas 6 times with the HOT water only, and still pulling out black water. Carpets look WAY better, and are drying with almost no residual bleeding through at all.

Any tips on something to strip this out of the carpet without the hours of labor?
