I understand you have seen quite a few post ranting about season end ranking getting replaced by inflated trophies. Some redditors have misunderstand this and say "get better" "grind for a better ranking". I do not want to go into that area since there's already many other posts out there on this. What i'm trying to drive in this post is there is a logic flaw that is contradicting in the calculation of the best season. The calculation is NOT consistent, which is clearly a bug.

Below presents two scenarios. We will take April Season and your Best Season as the test case:

Scenario 1:

Apr Season 6000 trophies | Unranked.

Best season 5800 trophies | Ranked #5000.

Best season gets replaced.

Scenario 2:

Apr Season 6300 trophies | Ranked #8000.

Best season 5800 trophies | Ranked #5000.

Best season does not get replaced.

As you can see, the Best season sample is the same, however, the criteria of replacing best season is inconsistent when you have no ranking. This means that Ranking prioritizes over Trophies when April and best season has a ranking. But Trophies prioritizes over Ranking when April has no ranking. That is clearly a design flaw.
