An idea to solve the wait for someone to make the first move
Post Body

Lets be real. This is very common, in some games people even waited until overtime to start making moves, I feel this is not only a sign of bad game design but it also feels boring. Who wants to sit in front of their phone doing nothing and staring intensively at the screen for up to two minutes?

Here's my idea: The first card played in a game cost 1 less elixir.

This not only encourages players to play more aggressively (supercell mentioned they want the game to feel less about defending), and may also open up new archetypes and strategies. Do you want your opponent to go first still so you can counterpush? Or do you want to grab that discount and launch a surprise attack? Think about the possibilities!

TL;DR: waiting your opponent to make the first move sucks. We can solve this by making the first card played in the game cost 1 less elixir.
