Anyone else struggle with rage/salt in this game?

I've played this game for literally years now, invested maybe $100, and I'm a pretty seasoned gamer. But for some reason, I just find myself getting SO salty with this game, ALL the time. Why? Idk.. maybe it's the matching system, or more likely the pace of progression? I feel like I've seriously plateaued without spending a pretty penny.

I just deleted the app for like 3 days, and when I came back so did the salt within like 5 games. Anyone else experience this? Wondering if it's time to throw in the towel and bid my clan goodbye.
