Difficulty Jump when entering Challenger 1

I may just be bad, but I have noticed what seems to be a large skill jump when you enter Challenger 1
In normal Legendary Arena I have probably a 75-80% win rate, but the moment I hit challenger I just get destroyed by everybody.
And everybody seems to be higher levels than me (which isn’t a problem, just made me realize that matchmaking may change once you enter the ranked leagues.)
If anybody has any knowledge about how ranked leagues work please lmk, greatly appreciated.
