What to do when you don’t have the right cards in rotation at the start of game?

I feel like on countless occasions, I start a game down a tower or almost an entire tower because the cards I started the game with are piss poor counters to the cards my opponent starts with. Do y’all just say unlucky and go next or what’s a good tip to have this happen less?
