Hello all! Thought I would let you know some stuff that happened in the Kingdom of Ayutia recently.
Monarchial Elections
Monarchial elections just ended, and the people have elected me the King of Ayutia in a majority vote! I will still be maintaining a role as the diplomatic minister, alongside the monarch’s role within the kingdom. An official coronation ceremony will happen sometime in the near future, and I’d like to invite anyone who wishes. If you need to contact the government of Ayutia, or would like to talk about anything that concerns our nation at all, well, I'm your man.
New Legislation
Additionally, prior to my election, the Council of Ayutia, our legislative body passed several new laws within the nation, the Settlement Act, the Property Act and the Provincial Governance Act. The Settlement Act encourages the settling of new citizens in our various different provinces and allows them to form freeholds within the Kingdom, which essentially allows them to rule their own allocated plot of land or freehold under the larger authority of the Kingdom. They will be able to select their own Freeholder, the leader of the freehold. After a decent amount of time, Freeholders can choose to turn the freehold into a lordship, with a chosen leader promoted to lord over that land.
Capital
Formerly, our capital was named Eisenburg, however, a proposal by /u/CapeCape, Councilor and Lord Governor of Esera province to rename it to fit the Thai theme of our nation was acted upon, and after a unanimous council vote, our capital has been renamed to Nakhon Si Vana (meaning ‘City Upon the Rivers’ in Thai, as we have several natural and terraformed rivers flowing through our capital). For those with the unrefined tongue may instead choose to call it Vana, pronounced V-anna (pronounced like Anna from Frozen).
JOIN AYUTIA TODAY!
We are always accepting new members. Got a group of friends? You can come build your own town in our nation, with one of you to govern it. Got no friends playing CivEx? You can still build your own town and encourage other players to settle there, or if you desire more company, live in our capital. If you want to join, you can contact either myself, ToeSocks (/u/SlothPhoenix) or CapeCape (/u/Tanhart).
