Nether Mob Spawn issues

So, while I was exploring the nether, I noticed something weird. The only mob that was spawning (aside from blazes in fortresses, btw they spawn like fucking wildfire. 8 blazes in a few seconds) were chickens. I could only find chickens walking around the nether. and only one every 50 ish blocks. No wither skeles. no pigmen. No magma slimes. Just fucking chickens
Also wtf's with the tps? you can't even do the command anymore.
