FPS drops and general lag

Has anyone else been suffering with lower than normal FPS or general lag in the overworld today. In the End I had no issues either. I usually run at around 180-200FPS, but at one point today I was down to 8. Most of the day I've been stuck at ~22. Lag was bad while in the Nether biome mostly.
Anyone else been suffering?
