As you are likely by now aware, a few hours ago there was a hacking incident in which an individual broke into Foofed's vault faster than is possible if playing entirely legit.
The player in question caused over 50,000 obsidian block break events in less than 8 hours. If this player had been continuously breaking obsidian for this entire period (which they were not), this would result in a rate of over 1.7 obsidian breaks per second.
This is clear evidence of hacking and resulted in a ban of all the accounts of this player as well as an ip-ban.

After breaking into the vault, the individual in question appropriated a number of prison pearls and freed those individuals.
PrisonPearl contains a command allowing admins to imprison individuals without actually killing them, further information about this can be found in the github documentation.
The purpose of this command is for situations exactly like this one, in order to quickly reverse the actions of a hacker.
After banning the hacker, I op'd myself, teleported to Foofed, handed him the pearls in question, teleported back and then de-op'd myself.

Some of you may be wondering why I (Exultant in game), did this and not ttk2.
The answer to this question is that I am also an admin (the shadow admin if you will), this was not widely known previously but was not actually a secret.
I have been an admin for a long time but rarely do anything that is visible to the majority of the server, mostly doing behind the scenes work such as building tools to detect cheating, writing plugins, maintaining others, etc.
I am also a player on the server, as is ttk2, although he plays far less frequently than I do.
I cannot do anything (as a player) that anyone else cannot also do, except, in emergencies such this one in which I will take action in my capacity as an admin.
The vast majority of the time thus far, when admin action needed to be taken ttk2 was present, however he was busy with real life obligations at the time of the incident and thus it fell to me to handle it.
I was not, up until now, a moderator on the subreddit because it wasn't necessary for me to be one.

Now to dispel some myths and kill some rumours (hopefully):
Foofed cannot teleport, I teleported to him to give him the pearls.
I am not a hacker, the cheaters were not banned by a hacker they were banned by me.
If there is clear evidence of cheating the individuals in question will. be. banned. period.
There is only ONE rule: do not cheat.
JourneyMap, Rei's Minimap, and other mini map mods are not considered cheating because of the impossibility verifying their use, whereas x-ray is but requires considerable evidence.
The reason I was in the 'Friends Against Griefing Scum' (aka the FAGS) mumble channel to discuss this issue is because it is an already set up password protection channel. It exists for the purpose of important stuff that should not be interrupted.
