"No one hears you"

In case you didn't already know, global chat is limited to a range of 1000m.
If no one is within range when you talk in global chat you receive a message: "No one hears you".

This feature is often abused by griefers to figure out if anyone is in range before approaching a town, this feature is far better than journeymap or any other player radar could ever be at finding out if people are nearby.
During High lag situations you can only see 3 chunks away, but this trick still works at 1000m distance. Would you prefer this message remained or was removed?
