ttk2 once said, some time before compactors were implemented, that he foresaw them as being fairly commonplace. Arran is getting ready to implement a carpentry/compactor combo for our use and the use of our allies so I wanted to make sure I had the costs properly computed. Here they are for your perusal:
2632 logs
1040 cobblestone
450 iron ore (we paid 18 iron in exchange for charcoal at the smelter and as a convenience fee).
464 redstone ore
192 wheat
96 slimes
It seems a bit expensive as all this is upfront cost. Then the combo will cost just more than the theoretical maximum essence one player receives in a month to maintain it.
