A shocking revelation, I know. I can only imagine how many of you frantically ran to your keyboards to smugly accuse us of hypocrisy but unfortunately that is not the case.

Had any of you actually attempted to go through the portal, you would have noticed that there are literally zero barriers to entry beyond it being underwater. If you manage to get down there, congratulations. You're home free. You can spend your 3 minutes in the End, get knocked off into the void by a silverfish and find yourself trapped 1k blocks away from anything in Naunet without a boat. A really exciting trip.

What's not okay is digging tunnels through Nautilus in order to find a safe passage to the portal. It's just plain rude to dig through someone else's basement. Shame on you. It's also most certainly not okay to build shit on the portal. I cannot stress this enough. If you are caught obstructing the portal in any way and do not leave when asked you will be considered pearl on sight throughout most of Naunet.

Today we caught thecriminalmind preaching to us about the importance of public infrastructure and how he wouldn't stop building on the portal or leave because it's his right to improve the area. We don't care. Your attempts to make the entrance more accessible are complete wastes of time. Everybody is going to think that their way to make it most accessible is the best way, and if we don't tear it out some other moral crusader will.

Once all the other End portals are found and people realise that it's an inhospitable shithole, the novelty of it all will almost certainly wear off. It is at that point that we will make the entrance pretty. I promise. I just ask you to please not give us a hard time when we tell you to stop building on it. Your grandstanding is duly noted.
