When 3.0 was first launched about 2 weeks ago I was a massive supporter of it. I loved the fact that vaults would be much harder to build, that nations would have to trade based upon what I saw, that there would be a deeper learning curve to the game, and that cooperation would make the game work.
2 weeks in I take this back. 2 weeks of cooperation, going on mining trip after mining trip only to be killed by hostile mobs, not finding any ore in shards where ore is supposed to be found even when trying different mining methods and generally much, much harder progression that seemingly only benefits people with connections or time to grind for hour upon hour have got me down.
A week ago I was still bright eyed about this server. Now I am not. This is no longer Civcraft when people have no time for politics due to the constant grind and the constant fallbacks due to dying from mobs endlessly and losing their shit. This is grindcraft now and its not fun. it's simply boring, aggravating, and overly hard and overly time consuming.
I have spent hours upon hours mining and doing what mods have told us all to do with literally hardly anything to show for it. Nations should be advancing by now, but hardly anybody is and its getting tiring.
Ore generation is simply insane for the factories even with the 10% increase. If factory recipes even get buffed, I would be a happy camper and this game would be much more farm. I can't even afford armor and its two weeks into the server with countless hours of grinding.
I won't quit but if this is "working as intended" its not working very good.
EDIT: I'd like to thank TTK for his quick response and the amazing way he is going about fixing this. I love Civcraft, I am going to continue to play it and I love the fact that the mods have put so much effort into this game. I only hope to see it go to much greater places from here.
