3.0 has opened many doors to trade that was not seen in 2.0. Cobble is not a resource that people are willing to trade for, as is sand, and other items that many considered easy to get in 2.0.
I've seen many traders enter Elion in the past few days, trading their wares in return for items they do not have. This interests me greatly.
I have decided thus to establish the Civcraft Trade Organization, an organization dedicated to connecting traders to their buyers and buyers to their traders through a database, subreddit, and through in game trade centers.
The following are the goals of the CTO further explained out
- SETTING UP TRADERS WITH MARKETS
Spongesuds travels to Elion almost every day now and asks in chat "anyone want to trade". Many times, people give him an answer but it is hard meeting up in the shard to trade. With CTO, selected cities will have trade centers that trade can happen in and shops can be set up in. A trader can also become a certified CTO trader, whom people can see as a honest trader.
- A Subreddit to advertise shops on
CTO will have a subreddit to advertise shops in CTO centers and CTO certificated shops in general on. These shops can freely advertise to traders, and citizens alike as to what they are selling. This once again connects traders with shoppers and shoppers with stores.
- It lets you know who has what
Currently Civexchange is the main means for doing this, but with CTO it takes it one step further with useful information about traders, prices, and areas to trade. Its like a database.
If you would like to be a part of CTO please message me
I plan on opening the first CTO shopping center in the town of Victoria within the month. If any city wishes to be involved in CTO they should message me as well.
If this does not work I am just going to take this down. It's in its development phase and anyone interested in helping would be nice.
