This post is in response to the post by Defem regarding disputed land claims with the state of Iria.

Our position

We would like to assert Iria's position that we are and have always been willing to work together with Defem to be able to resolve the issue.

Context

We were first made aware of Defem when Defem leadership approached Iria to raise the disputed land claims. Prior to this, Iria had already had developmental plans in the disputed region, and citizens began progress building, unaware of the land dispute.

Action

After being made aware of the disputed land, Wolfeyes, leader of Iria engaged in interaciton with Defem leadership to gain a better grasp of the situation. Note that from Iria's perspective, this was the first time we had heard of Defem's presence, and so naturally, Iria would have required to make more careful considerations involving both internal and external factors, before being able to make any official settlement clause. We understand that in the heat, this may have been mistaken for the lack of cooperation, and so would like to take this opportunity to clear such notion.

Conclusion

We understand the frustrations this situation has brought to Defem as well as involved Irian citizens, however we ask for patience and would like to assure Iria's willingness to work and solve this issue. We look forward to reaching and official settlement through friendly negotiations, appreciate the patience, and hope that relations between Iria and Defem may be bridged as we move forward.
