Howdy folks,

It's 3.0's launch day! (No, the server isn't up yet)

As the other admins are slaving away at getting everything finalized for the launch for the sake of our, and everyone else's sanity, we will be condensing all the important stuff into this thread. We will also be removing redundant and unnecessary threads from the sub (eg. "I can't login!" and "When are we launching!?11 XDD".

Server issues will have their own dedicated post here and posts outside of the thread will be deleted.

Additionally, since we are sure modmail will explode as soon as we launch some do's and don'ts with modmail:

Don't modmail about:

1. General server issues, lag, low FPS, low tick

2. Minor glitches (e.g. "My horse is upside down" or "The moon is going the wrong way in the sky!”)

3. Item returns (Sorry, no returns for the first few days)

Do modmail about:

1. Alt bans

If you attempt to log onto the server and receive a message informing you that alts are not allowed on the server or have some other issue with logging on due to alt issues then please fill this out before modmailing. Failing to fill out this form before modmailing may result in a delayed response. Hopefully we'll have this system automated soon:

1. Severe glitches (e.g. duping, teleporting that is not contributable to lag, etc.) -Essentially anything game breaking or that could be exploited for personal gain and ruin everything for everyone

A good bit of relevant information related to 3.0 can be found in these AMAs. (However some are a little out of date as there have been some changes since those were done)

Remember to use the same mhlsec IP if you used that in the past. If you're receiving an authentication error it is most likely because you're not using the you're special IP to connect. If you don't know what this is you've probably never used it but should do so whenever the server gets going.

A common error for those that have been around for awhile is that your special IP is still using .vg instead of .co, use .co.

Example: cykabylat.mc.civcraft.vg should be cykabylat.mc.civcraft.co

Civmenu

Something to do in the lobby world other than staring at the other poor souls that somehow ended up there

A more detailed intro book with pretty pictures and links

(Congrats /u/commando_wins, your book was chosen albeit it will edited heavily as the server progresses)

Two requests for assistance from the community:

1. The wiki needs some serious love. Many pages are out of date and lots of information is lacking.

2. Advertising, /u/bobpndrgn has been heading up our, admittedly small, advertising push but we really need the community’s assistance in getting the word out. If you’re interested in helping please message Bob and hopefully we can get a more formal campaign going in a week or so.

Okay, everything seems to be on schedule. Except for... the... uhh... weird Nether-Forest monstrosity that ttk made by accident. That'll probably get fixed before launch.
