When I first started playing on this server I held the firm belief that if you tried hard enough to make it in the world you could I set out hell bent to get recognition somehow and lead a nation in the future. Here I sit today, a year later and arguably past my prime looking back on what I have done. I constantly find myself wondering "if someone with the same mindset as myself started off now, could they gain the same amount of prestige possible". The answer to that question in my opinion is no.
Today the admins are bent on a mindset that you can artificially make items rare outside of limiting them naturally, exclude cities that new players make from getting access to the nether, and the idea that we as player don't care what happens to the sever. Rather than improving internal issues that we continue to face every day, the server admins have placed all their hopes and dreams on sharding, which they think can magically bring many more players into the folds of this game.
My question is, how do you expect to have a server increase in population when newfriends come in and get pushed out through a revolving door within a weeks time due to the issues that this server has. You can not pin this inactivity on school either- last year I remember we had a server population of over 100 people playing on the norm. Now a busy day has about 50 people and most times I log on there are only 30 people online- so why are we pinning our hopes and dreams on sharding when we can't even hold a stable group of players together as it stands right now.
Admins, I appreciate your work but please for the love of all things holy, make things better. Not by fucking with the players but by having community discussion and deciding what they playerbase wants. Stop pulling the damn wool over our eyes
