PHOTOS I TOOK

The situation in Tambov has been hectic over the last few days. The chaos started when Aeon banned all people of Tambovian descent from their borders, minus their leader. The poor city of Tambov heavily relied on Aeon's infrastructure and the decision was met with shitposts from angry Tambovians. The small FSR aligned town lost players and declared a state of emergency.

Unfortunately, the situation would degrade even more on Turkey day 2015.

The Turkey war between Nipplerock and Tambov started after a Tambovian defense minister remarked that their houses were superior to those found in Nipplerock. Gantoe, leader of Nipplerock, promptly used this for justification to bomb the Tambovian capital early Thursday mourning and than declared war on the subreddit. After returning from Thanksgiving dinner, Gantoe began preparing his second attack.

This is where I come into the picture. I've lived in Mount Augusta since May of this year and have always wanted to role play Vice News. Gantoe came to me with an offer I couldn't refuse. He would take me along on his second attack if I reported on it. I immediately threw my armor off and my red cross banner on. Gantoe was oozing with enthusiasm when we met in Augusta, he boasted of having a full stack of TNT for this attack-a good 10 times the amount of TNT used in the first attack. We quickly set off for Thule, but stopped once we were there as another Nipplerock citizen, Blasthardcheese, wanted to join in on the attack. We intercepted Blasthard at Thule and carried on via the overworld to Tambov. At 9:48 est pm A Tombovian citizen made a post declaring war on Nipplerock.(the post was unofficial and since deleted). Gantoe claimed this only strengthened his already strong determination to attack the city.

Before long the three of us reached Tambov. The carrot farms were the first to go. Gantoe and Blast showed no mercy to Tambovian food supplies. As we entered the city proper via a Bridge Gantoe placed more TNT and a hole was knocked into the bridge. The duo moved into the city and detonated a second bomb in a glass tower. By this point Isaao12 had spotted them and warned them to leave. Gantoe and Blast responded with threats of their own. At this point I became separated from Gantoe as he retreated from the city.I followed Blast as he looked for Cantrell and Isaao12. Only Blast was armed with a PVP loadout, Gantoe was simply wearing vanilla iron. I asked Gantoe if he knew/cared he was putting himself in great risk by coming unarmed. The fighter gave me a cold look and told me he did not fear death.

Blast searched the city and found Cantrell in what appeared to be a Space Station in the airspace above Tambov. Cantrell was quickly pearled and Isaao12 came to save the Tambov national. A short fight took place before Blast knocked Isaao12 off the side of the station, where he plummeted to his death. Gantoe returns and the duo decide it is too risky to stay in the city. After hastily grabbing some of Isaao12's items (thankfully I was able to recover his pick and sword, which have since been returned) the pair fled the city, fearing foreign fighters may came after them. It was decided that Isaao12 was of no use to them, so he was released and his items returned. Cantrell, who made the initial reddit comment that spun this whole debacle into action, was considered the main objective. I noticed that the overzealous enthusiasm of wiping out the "Tambovian Threat" had disappeared and it dawned on the pair that this attack would carry serious consequences.

I became separated from the pair as they set out into the Ocean, attempting to make it back to Nipplerock. As I headed for a local rail that lead to Thule I ran into Xavter who was hot on their tail. After making it known I was a foreign press corespondent I was free to go. (Shout out to Tambov and Xavter for respecting the rights of the press.) At some point Gantoe logged to prevent from being killed and Blast carried on to Nipplerock. Xavter and Tangentialthreat would catch up and exchange hits with Blast who eventually logged to prevent from being pearled. This of course released Contrell's pearl.

Minus the prolonged water chase in the end, the second battle of Tambov would only last thirty minutes. 10:50 to 11:20 est pm to be exact. Overall I suspect the battle will have little impact on the city of Tambov. Although many buildings were bombed, the damage to each one is fairly minor. It appears that both side have made peace and agreed to pay reps.
