I thought I would voice my opinion here, as it has been a hot topic lately, and I've seen how these kinds of pearls have been handled in the past.
Every time there's a major fighting force in the server (I would say invasion, but Nox really wasn't), the current WP iteration will eventually win out and the baddies are pearled. Then, as things wind down, and pearls start being discussed, people start forgetting who these baddies are and demand them to be released. Usually its newfriends who hear someone is permapearled and make a fuss about it. Then the baddies, released, do one of three things: join the WP/play the actual game, return to raiding, or never log on again.
Now let us consider those Nox members who were pearled. Many of them are multi-instance offenders. Others are 'Kohi shitters' that came for jajapvp, and a few are new players that have a legitimate interest in playing CivCraft despite their actions in Nox. Now these multi-offense types, like Crayfish, Chesh, MC, Papa, Eythx, Vita. These are all players who have, time and time again, been released on their good word only to return to raiding. So I must ask, why the hell would we release multi-instance offenders? There is no precedent saying they won't return to raiding. They should be permapearled.
Other players, like Live4MC or French, who express interest in playing the game legitimately, I believe should be released after paying their reps and serving end time.
While I own no vault and realistically don't have a say into the sentencing of these players, I hope relevant vault owners will listen.
Aside from this, I know a long list of people that, should one of these 'permapearlee' examples be released, will hunt both the person who released them and the person they released.
