Now I very specifically told roruke to run the duplicity backup script so that even if the tar got borked (it did, I reversed the arguments when I sent him the guide its something I always do and then correct myself right away..) but the entry for that backup does not seem to be showing up.

Anyways I have the one from yesterday morning restoring while I poke around with other things, I still have no clue what ate up that much space, Erocs said he figured it out but didn't say why anywhere so the root cause of all of this is unknown to me, I know there was plenty of free space left before shutdown.

Anyways investigation is ongoing, expect the server back up in an hour or two either with a backup from yesterday morning or yesterday afternoon if I manage to find the one roruke supposedly took.

eidt; update 1 duplicity restore just finished, sql restore in progress, it seems like file perms issues made one of the short cuts I was trying to take an anti-shortcut, lessons learned I guess.

edit: update 2, so roruke has a copy he duped locally shortly before he shut down the server, since this will help us lose several hours less data we are trying to get this copy up.

edit: Updated 3 so finally got home, too many hours on a plane, investigating the situation from the Civcraft command center now.
