Whelp, the inevitable has happened,
Xavter was cleaning up grief in the Carson nf when he was jumped by Vitacoco, alone. Xavter was pearled, and I came in with my combat alt, Civcraft_Player, and attacked him.
A short fight ensued, I did well initially, pearl blocking him and causing him to health pot twice. I was taking half a heart to one heart of damage per hit.
He threw a poison pot at me and jumps away on a ledge. All of a sudden, when I caught up to him and begin fighting again, I was taking 3 hearts of damage per hit.
From there on it was a losing battle. When you take 3 hearts of damage every time someone hits you, you're constantly inventory managing and trying to healthpot. It didn't help that he stuck me in cobwebs and I wasn't able to pearl out and run since we're in a griefed station.
In short, I have some closing words since I'm most likely not going to be playing anymore, except minimally to keep the ISIS alive and oversee its administration by others I trust, or to write books in my Istanbul villa. I don't doubt that Papa will have my combat alt released. I don't doubt they'd tell me "Oh, you're a pal, but don't mess with us again" and release my naked combat alt back into the cold overworld to trod home.
The truth is that since Nox "turned" it has thrown my entire perception of who my friends and allies on civcraft were upside down. When lines were clearly drawn in the sand, you knew who to count as your brothers in arms, and you knew who your enemies were and why they were so.
What we have seen in the past two weeks is a return to the absolute barbarism and dark ages of 1.0 where nakeds were afraid to walk in the nether and public infrastructure was griefed. And, even worse, those who I considered my friends support this.
Therefore it's on this final note that I bid my farewell to those of you who I appreciate (and believe me, there are many of you). I won't name you because I'd definitely miss a lot of names, and you'll still see me in mumble and you'll still see me connecting once in a blue moon to say hi and make sure Istanbul is still there.
Here's some final messages to some entities and people:
Fuck you Nox. Inb4 "fucknox" meme and "autistic anger, stop taking things so seriously". If there's one thing that I've tried to stand up for, it's the opposite of everything that post-ban Nox represents. A specific fuck you to Sintralin for having the most pathetic tantrum after being banned for one week and taking everything we had fought for after 7 months and throwing it down the drain in one infantile spurt of frustration. Another specific fuck you to MCisForTheWin, someone who I had no specific opinion of until he started pearling nakeds left and right. A big fuck you to Superbuilder who specifically represented every single thing that I disliked about WP and Nox. Fuck Nox for greifing public infrastructure and killing nakeds. May they one day be wiped off the face of this server, them and their shitty, backstabbing dull-minded voucher culture that contributed nothing but more efficient vault designs to Civcraft. May they be eliminated from the face of the server either through brute war or brute bans.
To the meme team: I know Mt. Augusta's stance is to keep to themselves and not take any sides, but I know there's a distinct pro-Nox bias. I used to be biased to Nox, but certainly not after they "turned" which is more than I can say for many of my Meme team compatriots who still talk highly of them and probably fight with them behind secret alt accounts and closed doors. If you keep supporting this, fuck you too. This goes for Thoths, Soccer, and Prof: never forget fun memes and fun times, but fuck you if you're going to keep supporting Nox.
To Vita: How the fuck you start doing 3 hearts of damage per hit is beyond me, but I won't ever forget the time when I popped you three times in a row on civPVP. I wish the first healthpot you threw had lagged out so you would be pearled for killing Xavter who, for Christ fucking sake, was trying to repair a rail station that you destroyed out of petulant spite.
To those who's friendship I truly enjoyed: You know who you are. To many of you I am truly indebted. Some of you have helped me immensely during my time in Civcraft and countless others have made my time here enjoyable. May we meet again for dedicated gameplay on another server, or another iteration of Civcraft.
To those of you fighting Nox, good luck. You're going to need it.
