What follows is an account from my perspective of the events of Monday night, the ill-informed invasion of the Balkanian Protectorate in Aurora by some some returning soldiers of the communist side of the Bohr War:

Pooch12 had recently seceded his property from the city of Aurora. From what I could gather the Chancellorship of Pantostado1066 and paranoia surrounding foreign communist infiltration was what prompted him to take this drastic action. There was talk of invading the newly-created enclave and forcibly bringing it under the jurisdiction of Aurora once more. Fearing an imminent takeover by leftist elements Pooch12 allied with Balkania, completely surrendering the sovereignty of the state to Balkania in exchange for vague promises of aid. The Balkanian Protectorate in Aurora had been created. A myriad of alternative uses for the Protectorate after it was reunited with Aurora had been suggested, including turning it into a centre of communism within the Aurora region. From what I was told the invasion of the little capitalist paradise had been postponed until after the Bohr War was resolved.

I returned from the Battle of Bohr in a cheerful mood. Although the communists ultimately lost it had been a close run thing. I was quite chuffed with myself having killed the King of Balkania during the battle. As I returned to Aurora something occurred to me. The war was still unfinished. Why not assist our comrades in Aurora in dealing with this illegal, rogue, rebellious state? A call to arms was broadcast and I was joined by Quicksilver991. This operation was impromptu and had no authorisation from the FSR .We assembled at the entrance to the Balkanian protectorate and posed for pictures. Aurora would surely be grateful that we had put down this little rebellion for them. Our intention was to place the Auroran flag and a red flag of communism atop the Protectorate, after breaching the outer defenses. As far as we knew Pooch12, the Governor of the Balkanian Protectorate in Aurora, was both pearled and excommunicated from the city of Aurora. Quicksilver and I launched an assault on the Balkanian enclave and the defenses of the Protectorate fell rapidly. No Aurora residents objected to the invasion. Many walked by or stopped to watch the liberation. There was an attitude of nonchalance or even assent about the whole thing. Talk of invading the Balkanian protectorate had floated around for a few days and there was vague talk of invading after the Bohr War had ended so I don't think it was entirely unexpected.

Now Pooched12 has returned after griefing the Cove in Augusta and is demanding, well here are his own words:

These fuckers are going to be spending a very long time in the end, and must repay what they stole- I recommend forced labor. They stole from me, they owe me, now they're going to be my personal bitches until they get me however much my stuff was worth.

Ignoring the tone and his hypocrisy for a moment, these are completely unreasonable demands. I was gardening all day and so didn't see his post and its demands until quite late. I am truly sorry about the invasion and offered to pay reparations in full. Earlier Pooch12 messaged me in-game and my inbox was barraged with expletives. Not a good way to open dialogue but I sort of understood. He was angry. I directed him towards my apology post and offer of reparations. Pooch12 claims that Quicksilver991 is a notorious griefer with a long history of griefing. I ask him to provide proof. The entire conversation is well worth a read.

So he continues to ignore our apology and offer of reparations. Now Pooch12 is calling me and Quicksilver991 remorseless after we have apologised and offered reparations

TL, DR Quicksilver991 and I do something silly and regrettable, Pooch12 wants to permapearl and make us "his bitches", we apologise and ask for arbitration and offer to pay reparations, Pooch12 rejects this offer

What can we do? When someone doesn't want an apology, arbitration or reparations and openly makes clear his intention to pearl you for a preposterous length of time dis-engagement is the only option.
