First off this is really frustrating. Its not that pvp is unbalanced but rather that minecraft pvp, and just the tier system in general is severely lacking. Adding a modification to pvp is our first step forward towards improving the tech tree. Is bergePvp perfect for this Yes?, No?, Maybe? Even ExpensiveBeacons I know had major issues but it took a step forward in ultimately trying to expand the tech tree and make the game more fruitful.

At this stage everyone is against any minor/ major change which makes developing further a problem. People need to stop viewing it as "ttk2 has no idea what pvp is" and more of "I know what pvp is let me help develop a system which can further promote diversity and expand the very limited tech tree."

I don't know about you but even a plugin like bastions has changed how pvp/ vault defense in a way that no one could have anticipated.

The main thing that people need to understand is the reason why ttk2 is saying there is a deadline to sort this out is to make it so you have to come up with a better solution otherwise youre going to end up with a half thought idea. The reason BergePvp is so attractive, is because it does two things that expand the tech tree. It makes armor more linear while keeping the costs the same. So as you go higher in protection each stage is more and more expensive, while at the same time opening up different mechanics and allowing us in the future to even add higher tiers while even making prot more expensive for each further level. Not to mention it is already coded!

Honestly to get rid of BergePvp you can take Clone's approach and come up with your own system and either get someone or to code it yourself. But to say that its bad, doesn't solve any issues. It doesn't start development towards something better. Unfortunately Civcraft is at a stage where the only way things get done is to motivate them personally. Why do you think I say all the time that I basicly code my advantage. Its because in a way I do, I fix or deal with the issues that are most direct to me.

I know you all aren't developers but you need to think that we need to take a step forward not say why taking a step forward is a scary place and shouldn't happen and you dont even know how to take a step forward. There are multiple ways to help and you can stop the bad from happening first to get to the better later.
