So Erocs attempt at back-porting the patch 1.8 Spigot has been a little crashy on Civtest, mostly Oreobfuscator does not work, which is a critical issue, its possible we could try the integrated Oreobfuscator but that lacks proximity hider which a lot of players will likely think is unacceptable.
As for if these issues will be fixed soon I can't really say, the devs have lives and it is a Friday night, the issues are also exacerbated by the Spigot DMCA preventing us from distributing the custom patched spigot we are currently running without opening ourselves up for serious liabilities. PaperSpigot did the same things we did, so Erocs suspects it might have the same bug with Oreobfuscator if you are just itching to help out trying to get that to work would be your best bet.
Dan got some tracking going with the 1.8 progress, a lot of plugins just need checking against 1.8, easy enough to do locally, I still need to get a 1.8 jar to test against, but that's been waiting on Roruke to get settled in and send up his current progress on 1.8 updates, the plugins listed as in progress should be the only ones to require significant if any work on our part.
As for what you should be doing right now to help
If you are good with Spigot/Java get on PaperSpigot and work on getting the fix backported.
If you are familiar with a specific plugin, or are ok at Java you can probably help significantly checking over and updating the odd plugins that don't have a definite status in the spreadsheet.
If you are a scriptkidde who likes breaking things you should try and use the proof of concept server crashing attack on Civtest and report back to me. The changelog devolved into obsidian debate and I never got the info that I most need.
If you have no clue what the words in the bullets above are check the changelog and run through the now on Civtest section, those changes are going to end up online be it in 1.7.10 or 1.8, so testing will be appreciated, please provide feedback on those, not just obsidian costs if you want Civcraft to move forward efficiently.
