Bugs And Development Focus
As outlined here thanks to Flaminius's testing we can see that the issue with printing presses starts at the 5 page or so mark. Everything else seems to work ok, but the costs on all of this do need to plummet.
Bastions need fixing.
Awhile back, we sitched from quonic's generously hosted wiki to our own wiki at civcraft.org. I think most of the content has transitioned, but are there old pages still missing? If there are some old articles that haven't been moved over then feel free to download the images or pages and edit them in. We highly encourage using the wiki to document the history and legacy of your cities.
PrintingPresses are broken, we should fix them and then drop the cost like a rock until printing books is actually done. Thoughts on adjusted costs (Assuming they are ever actually fixed or broken in the first place)?
Civdisease development has caught the flu. We have a repository just waiting for commits.. How hard could it be to code in overdose effects for pufferfish abuse?
ttk2's thinking corner
I wonder if anyone has figured out the NetherTower surprise yet. Looking at the final distribution I am decently happy with it, it was a challenge to try and place towers in good spots to give everyone a decent chance. The Carson quadrent got a few closer to its borders to make up for the fact that I did not want to essentially just give Carson two of them by placing them in their nearby Nether biomes. Regardless, if Civcraft is the move forward its going to be a little hacky, poorly planned, and perhaps not as good as it could be, because when you wait for everything to be ready and prefect you are waiting forever.
Anyways the Nether itself is going to be generated very soon, in prep for placing NetherFactories online the day after Christmas, If I can get a Facotrymod config that allows the creation of the aspect factories without allowing creation of the NetherFactory itself I will be happy to put that online tomorrow or otherwise before the launch of NetherFacories. Since placement is time sensitive the launch time is a little bit contentious, but not quite so much as the towers event, as each town or organization only needs one representative online during the target time to handle putting up the Factory, that ideal time seems to be around 4-6pm EST, but we should discuss that a little more in advance this time.
Great now installing Windows 7 is a frustrating exercise in driver location and installation.
