New Today On Civcraft
- No Changes today
New Today on Civtest
- Thanks to Dbear we finally have our updated Factorymod config, its in testing on Civtest right now, please go and try making the donkey factory as well as testing aspect factories to see if you can produce them. You should be able to make the donkey factory but not the aspect ones.
Bugs And Development Focus
I need to set this up when time allows
Can I just comment stuff out of the Factorymod config? at this point I am just going to go and do it myself, burricos has waited too long and most of the other fixes in there have as well.
After seeing how the bowbuff worked in testing its seems that we need to modify the buff so that it's buff scales down as you make your way from power5 all the way down to the lowest level some suggested scaling values are here. Contrary to that, people were saying it was fine. As always feedback is asked for and welcome to receive.
No, Citadel 3.0 is not running on CivCraft. It is just nearing feature completion and Zork750 is looking for feedback.
There's some strange particle interaction between reinforced pistons and reinforced melon stems. The pistons stop working.
ttk2's thinking corner
Ok so how am I reporting things to /r/Civtesters to get tested? So I have the stuff in the Civtest section, should I just modmail that to them?
I am working on figuring out exactly how we need to sanitize timings before we can publish them for the rest of the dev group, more eyes are always good.
I made what I thought was a very important point in my comments on the modified NetherFactories pull, one that has not been addressed, that is the big question of how we want to handle scarce resources and what we want that to mean for us. I would like to ask everyone to take a moment to read that and chime in with what they think. Because I am going to put NetherFactories only shortly after I get home for Christmas break and I want this resolved.
I have yet to get anymore feedback on the bow changes, so they will continue to be buffed, starting tomorrow morning the bow buff will be moved from a factor of 1.5 to a factor or 2, I am still very interested in a more complete combat re-balance if people are interested in making their case, we generally agree on what needs to happen, but the idea needs love from someone who can focus on it.
Mintest might be a dangerous path to go as far as userbase, but I get the feeling it would bring us a lot closer to our original goal, How many people are interested in trying to make the basics (citadel and prisonpearl) as Mintest implementations and giving it a go?
