Bugs And Development Focus
I need to set this up when time allows
Can I just comment stuff out of the Factorymod config? at this point I am just going to go and do it myself, burricos has waited too long and most of the other fixes in there have as well.
After seeing how the bowbuff worked in testing its seems that we need to modify the buff so that it's buff scales down as you make your way from power5 all the way down to the lowest level some suggested scaling values are here. Contrary to that, people were saying it was fine. As always feedback is asked for and welcome to receive.
No, Citadel 3.0 is not running on CivCraft. It is just nearing feature completion and Zork750 is looking for feedback.
There's some strange particle interaction between reinforced pistons and reinforced melon stems. The pistons stop working.
ttk2's thinking corner
I think Jawa has gotten a good list of testing volunteers, those need to be forwarded to Roruke so that we can start organizing all of this, its going to be a lot of overhead work, but hopefully it will pay off.
Ribagi has made a Nether Factory re-balance trying to bring it back into the just expensive range, although I don't have a very good idea of how much it actually is (a good idea would be nice). My issue is that we need to move into end game items that not everyone can have with just some factor of work, the reality of the matter is no matter how expensive somthing is people can and will just grind up to it. I want end game items that are actual endgame, not just leaving an open spot on the top of the tech tree for everyone to reach.
Performance has become a dramatic enough issue that we must act in some capacity, I am running timings data by the developers and admins as we speak, we need some optimizations, even if we have to put them into Custom spigot, people are talking about a 1.8 upgrade as optimization, but the fact is that no Minecraft version has ever been faster than the previous one, always more bloated features, Spigot can and has made strides that sometimes manage to keep up with the rate at which things are slowing down. But especially considering how unique our huge automation load is we might be better off trying to optimize for us and submit upstream. Either way, coding is going to need to happen and until it does things are going to be laggy.
