New Today On Civcraft
Returned to previously updated Citadel version after determining that was not the cause of our issues.
Updated Civchat with a fix for yesterdays error, its hopefully more stable now.
Staged the JukeAlert directional levers update, when it goes online tomorrow it will be disabled by default so we can see if the changes have any negative effect on other functionality before enabling them.
We have attempted to increase the wither skull drop rate to pre 1.7.10 levels, please report your rate of acquisition today.
New Today on Civtest
- Updated Burricos, this new version should be significantly more resilient to server crashes in addition to being less reliant on Humbug, I would greatly appreciate it if people headed over there to test.
Bugs And Development Focus
After seeing how the bowbuff worked in testing its seems that we need to modify the buff so that it's buff scales down as you make your way from power5 all the way down to the lowest level some suggested scaling values are here.
In response to the buffing of bows projectile prot also needs to be buffed significantly, enough to be useful in a combat situation with archers as a major issue. This should hopefully help to diversify away from a single best configuration.
ttk2's thinking corner
Hopefully the new burricos will be a more reliable solution, it looks promising on that front.
From a balance perspective would changing the Nether Ratio have a large effect? I understand that 1:4 vs 1:8 means it takes twice as long, but what meaningful purpose would that server after the cost investment? I am trending to just making it 1:8 and trying to figure out balance with costs and other mechanics.
