New Today On Civcraft
- A new build of Citadel is staged for tomorrow's restart, this is mostly a bugfix build, it does for the time being remove numbers from ctgstats, but we hope to find a solution for that soon.
New Today on Civtest
- Civtest has had its wither skull drop value changes such that if Humbug is working properly Withers should have a 100% skull drop rate, please check that out for us so that we can determine if Humbug is working properly on Civcraft.
Bugs And Development Focus
After seeing how the bowbuff worked in testing its seems that we need to modify the buff so that it's buff scales down as you make your way from power5 all the way down to the lowest level some suggested scaling values are here.
In response to the buffing of bows projectile prot also needs to be buffed significantly, enough to be useful in a combat situation with archers as a major issue. This should hopefully help to diversify away from a single best configuration.
ttk2's thinking corner
I had a good conversation in mumble last night about the bow buff, it seems an equation will be used for scaling and the values are close enough to the suggested to work out just fine, figuring out how to buff projectile prot will be another project, but overall it looks like making more than one combat class in the simplest way possible might work out better than expected.
JukeAlert lever triggering has its pull request here and is currently being reviewed, please feel free to chip in. This is perhaps the best specked change that Civcraft has ever had, which may be why it has moved so quickly. We need to add documentation to the JukeAlert wiki but that's it.
Gipsy is making modifications to Burricos that should allow the server to crash while the plugin is running without guaranteeing loss of resources, of course nothing can guarantee that nothing will go wrong in a situation like that, but its better than failure being a given.

"Oh yeah, I have heard of Civcraft"
I need to write a book and put it in the ivory tower "strange and shocking secrets known by the Civcraft administration" the truth is stranger than fiction people.
