Warlords and tyrants have risen up in Grundeswald; conniving foreign hordes have conspired to divide her territories amongst themselves. The governors bicker and quarrel over ever-shifting border lines while the King refuses to play favourites. Helfontein and Chorazim have both volunteered to lead in what they call a temporary arrangement, but it is clear they never intend to give up any power if it's given. The title of Viceroy is hotly contested, with all government officials grasping for any power they can. In these tempestuous times there is but one clear solution: we turn to Prussia.

The Prussians and the Grundeswegians are of the same stock, truly children of a common mother. While we may have diverged in both our organisation and our goals, we are, at our cores, one in the same. Indeed while Grundeswald began to seemingly collapse, it was the Prussians who first showed concern. While greedy cities around the world salivated over the riches of Grundeswald, Prussia instead offered a hand in friendship. The Prussian military has been quietly patroling the streets of New Salisbury: on the look-out for miscreants or ill-willed adventurers who would harm or deface her.

A referendum was held in Grundeswald today. Nationwide the question was asked in the native Afrikaans: "Do you agree with the reunification of the Kingdom of Grundeswald with the Kingdom of Prussia that was enacted on 22 August 2014, and do you vote for these Kingdoms to be ruled by our leader König Ludwig I von Preußen?" With a stunning turnout rate of 99.87%, the "Yes" option won with a landslide victory of 107.54% of the vote. Prussian flags were immediately risen over the Capitol building and a parade was held in celebration of the establishment of the Großpreußischen Reich.

Political strife has begot glory, and glory will beget a new era for both Grundeswald and Prussia.
