[Discussion] Ethics and Universal Rights

Post Body

Since Civcraft can be seen as a sociopolitical experiment or simulation with quite an established social structure, I thought bringing up this topic would be worthy of discussion. What ethics and universal rights are generally agreed upon by the Civcraft society? I feel like this discussion could evolve into a list if there are general consensuses on ideologies, which could aid new people coming to Civcraft by giving them an understanding of how our social structure runs. I believe it's necessary to note that this is a discussion on ethics and rights, and not on law and am in no way advocating the enforcement of universal laws as there are discrepancies between the two topics. However, by the nature of ethics and rights, these can, much like in real life, assist as a foundation to local laws. So yeah, hope this would be an interesting topic to talk about.

Edit: Considering Civcraft is arguably a simulation, I would like to consider its society independent from the society of the real world, so even if there are ethical principles that are universally accepted in the real world an considered obvious, I'd think it'd also be interesting to bring up. Just to see which principles carried over, and which didn't (i.e the idea of killing is completely different in the real world and in Civcraft/Minecraft so this would mean different ethical implications, whereas the concept of slavery may be more on similar terms).
