I first settled in the city of Istanbul about a year ago, when it was recently founded and populated by players such as Skeps100 his crew. Living there for over a month, I gained full privileges in the city and rented a small appartment from a known player. As evidenced by this post, I was well entrenched in the city by that time period.

After a month or so, the Bloodcrew attacked the city, pearling many of the key players and destroying a lot of the architecture. This post by myself about the destruction of the town shows that I had obtained a government position by then, making myself well-known as a key player of the city. After the attacks, I fled North to civilization.

Now that I am back and living in Mt. Augusta, I have seen that Istanbul has been abandoned, but "claimed" by Grundeswald. Investigating the city, I have found multiple signs that I, as the minister of decoration under Old Istanbul, placed. I have noticed that Grundeswald has done nothing to preserve the city other than placing a sign saying "welcome to the Istanbul ruins".

My intention is to legally and rightfully reclaim this old city and make it beautiful once more, as it was during the pre-Bloodcrew days of Old Istanbul. Since my claim stretches much farther back into the past as the Grundeswald claim, I am going forth with my intentions to secure the city of Istanbul and move forward with renovating it under my rightful leadership.

With regards to the Grundeswald claim, since they have done nothing to restore the beauty of the city, and, more importantly, since their claim is much more recent and weaker than mine, I effectively regard it as nothing more than Grundeswaldian patriotic banter. I trust that the Grundeswald government will stand down and not escalate the situation militarily.
