EDIT: Welp, they pearled me. I guess they really want in this hockey league! :D
I've realized that I've been rather closed off towards Grundeswald about their denial of entry in the hockey league. To combat this and make the NDZHL more transparent I've decided to share some details about what went into the decision to keep them out of the league. Here goes.
Dear Grundeswald,
Let me first say that I always wanted the NDZHL to be all-inclusive. I never wanted to exclude anybody and you were one of the first towns to show interest in the league. However, this interest was rather suspicious when mazznoff originally sent me your team details. I had heard some stories about how your town was discriminatory and rather intolerant to others and I was worried you would pollute the league.
Admittedly, I was wrong to string you along for as long as I did. Although I personally was somewhat against your entry for the reasons I mentioned above, I was also concerned that by denying you entry on my opinion alone would bring a violent backlash to the league. Instead, I waited longer than I should have to bring the matter before the League. Now in order to protect identities I won't list names but here's some things that were said about the possibility of you joining the league:
"I think as the commissioners run the league its totally your call, if they aren't going to take it seriously then I would say no, dont want them ruining the reputation we are building up."
"[This team] will bring full prot and weaponry if they even set foot in an ice rink. All I have to say on the matter."
These are a few of the not so favorable reviews. There were concerns you weren't as serious about the league as the rest of us, and also that your bad reputation on the server would prevent other teams from wanting to join. I sent you a message about your denial of entry and didn't explain the reasoning behind it. In hindsight that was a mistake, I should have been open and upfront about it but again I was scared of a violent backlash, but I realize now that my actions probably only increased your displeasure with the league.
I've heard a lot of people say that the only thing you really have in Civcraft is your reputation and I find that to be overwhelmingly true. Forget how many diamonds or XP are in your bank, true wealth comes from having friends on the server to support you and also come to your aid. Grundeswald seemed to me to be a singular force, operating solely by themselves with more enemies than allies. That's not a reputable town to allow entry into a private league.
Now I'm hoping you won't just troll this post or avoid my points and try to start an argument on why the NDZHL is corrupt. But it's certainly your right, and honestly I'm somewhat honored that you're upset about not being allowed into the league. If you want in that badly then we must be doing something right.
This is not to say you will never be allowed in the league, but for your entry to be reconsidered you would certainly have to change your public image on the server, and more likely your entire ideology. Your actions the past few days of launching anti-NDZHL propaganda certainly aren't helping your case either.
I find it curious that Grundeswald is believed to be discriminatory towards others by most people on the server, and here we have a real instance in which you're being treated differently than others. I can imagine it doesn't feel very good does it? I hope that will teach you to change your ways.
Anyways, thanks for reading.
