Just wondering if it is legal for a mod to tp to a player who is being chased.

Today my dear friend Jarl was with I having just a bit of fun at Carbon when we suddenly start to get chased. While this was happening we get split. When he is being chased someone (dbb) tps to him and flew around him while the chase is happening.

What am I concerned about this is he could be giving information out to his chasers that leads to a unfair advantage. Furthermore, he wasn't even vanished or trying to hide himself. I thought that they were set to find and ban hackers.

Please at least hide yourself while watching players as they can simply turn off their hacks if you do show yourself. If you were doing this to give information for a unfair advantage my hopes for this person is gone.
