Okay, so we have a decent size kitty at the moment, but now that we're paying for hosting we should start looking at a few ways to raise funds on the long term.
One thing that seems to be unanimous is people do not want any sort of pay-to-win features such as free items for donating. Let's have a discussion on what the server could offer as an incentive without detracting from the civcraft experience.
The few that spring to my mind and have been mentioned before are:
A set number of reserve slots, which donating would be allow you to use when the server is approaching full capacity.
Coloured names or other ways to identify you in game as a donator. (Could we do capes server-side?).
The ability to name an item in-game for a small, one-time fee.
What do people think to these?
What suggestions do you have?
