So it turns out all the open source software even vaguely related to imageboards is both awful and older than dirt. If a crazy person wants to sign on and make that particular hell hole work that's fine with me and I'll happily host whatever they come up with, but I don't have time to maintain it.

If a crazy person doesn't step forward I'm going to fork Chieftain (interesting note, coded by an AnCap) and get it running in a modern environment. As this is going on top of my soul-crushingly long ToDo list I'm looking for a dev who's willing to take the lead. I'm still dedicated to getting CivChan up, it just might take me slightly longer than a day.

Oh ya, and hpoom, Chieftain has a JSON REST API, have a ball
