[Civtest] Coercion is unsustainable.

Post Body

On Civtest, Josh and Company (my name for them) have been defeated. They had been in control of the Main Deposit of ores on Civtest, in that they would more-or-less murder anyone who came too close to the Main Deposit. By this simple method of coercion, they were successful in garnering numerous enemies. Reputations have been tarnished as some non-griefers from Civcraft were helping Josh.

Yesterday, Josh and Company had defeated and pearled the majority of The Works. Today, the majority of Josh and Company are pearled and every member of The Works is free.

The significant factor in the defeat of Josh and Company was the fact that they were attacking anyone and everyone, thus they gained enemies almost as fast as people showed up to try and mine. If Josh and Company had spent their time cooperating with other people instead of coercing other people, then they would not be pearled right now. Thus, all the effort that they put into controlling resources was for nothing.

The lesson is simple: coercion is unsustainable.

Congratulations to all who participated in the pearling of Josh and Company; you've done what seemed impossible just a day ago.
