40% of the Haver River has expanded to allow for additional traffic. Ore transport via rafts currently inefficient and difficult to control. Acquiring Riverfluts from Sunport would allow greater productivity and greater ore shipment from Rothon.

Workers in Rothon have become violent. Local guard arresting primary hooligans. Rothovel has been pacified for the time being. News is concerning, but not urgent – Glaunism is an annoyance but not a threat.

River expected to freeze in the coming winter. Expected completion of the Haver River Expansion Project remains at the year 859 A.S.. New Opertinian (and some Castrisyan) entrepreneurs have been opening additional mines and workshops in both Rothon and Haven respectively, and may cause delays from river traffic in mid-850’s. No plausible solution has been established.

Captain Basheer van der Golven has diverted towards Ohaas, with intention to sack the city. He is first demanding fealty from Sanshock. It is possible that Sanshock may accept peace treaty in exchange with assistance with Core Pracia. Assistance can be in the form van der Golven’s raid. Negotiations must be done as soon as possible.

Fortification repair and construction in Aldslot and the Sunshine Point is under way. Expected to be complete within the year. This will protect trade from outlaws from the Eastern Leichforst. Okkole must serve as a key trade route.

Whaling season is soon over, whales prepare to return south for feeding. Breeding season has been prosperous, expect whale oil as well as fish oil and furs to be sent north.

Intriguing news from the north regarding religion – Bandits in the Eastern Leichforst are somewhat religious following Glaunism, but do not abide by any church or church doctrine. They seem to think of themselves as more independent of Glimmer as a whole. They speak of a “chosen way of life” which does not necessarily interrupt Achintyan religion (and relative ambivalence). They may be able to be reasoned with – Arrangements will be made.

The former colonies of ESC, UAS are continuing to declare their independence, however there is a lack of any independence sentiment within Starburst and in the Starburst Auslandate. The Efferian New World is showing some signs of weakness. Perhaps ships should be sent?

A distressing local custom (“Taranvange”) is disrupting the flow of trade within the Starburst Market. It is a festival where adherents to the Carnatak faith strip down to nudity and climb upon the rooves of buildings, and sunbathe the entire day. This is not the only local custom that disrupts location. A disgusting sect of Owowatis dons animal skins and performs intercourse with eachother while in them. This is not necessarily heterosexual, and not necessarily performed in private. Local hire does not understand why this poses a problem to general civilized society, not to mention trade. I request constables to help reestablish order.

Trade continues, as ever. Piracy is a growing problem, but we continue to grow closer to Owowatis. Banking has made this colony rich. We remain loyal.

Request Status: Reprimanded for breaking protocol, but colony will be permitted a holiday for the Taranvange festival depending on continued loyalty. Summary:

Sarangatak is a bloody tradition of Carnatak. Their festival of violence involves sacrificing animals and lynching petty thieves in the streets to appease the gods for a good harvest. Workers are refusing to return to work until the week-long holiday is observed.

I know the company requires protocol, but headquarters must see it from their offices! Something NEEDS to be done. Carnatak has infected Port Aurora for too long, and it infests the elite not only of Tohovel and Ottoporto, but has also made it to Station Square according to my sources. For the sake of Humanity, it must be dealt with. It can go no further.
