The Tetk'in have developed their first Unique Unit, the Catamaran Warship!

The Catamaran Warship is a two-hulled vessel, serving as a natural evolution of the canoes used by the Tetk'in to travel between cities. Each hull is a long canoe, built from heavy hewn timbers and sealed with resin, rather than the river canoes, which are often formed from a singe log, or hides streched over a frame in the same shape. Due to this new construction method, the Catamaran Warship has hulls that are much larger even individually than the largest Tetk'in canoe. Connecting the two hulls is a flat deck assembled from solid timbers, which is suspended completely above the waterline, even when the ship is fully manned and provisioned. The hulls are further stabilized by wooden poles that connect the hulls beneath the level of the main deck.

From the central deck, two tall wooden masts ektend directly upwards, with several additional poles radiating from the mast to hold the sailcloth. Within the canoes (which are open to the sky), boxes are anchored for storage. Tent cloths can be extended from the main deck over the pontoons to provide the crew with a shelter from rain. Otherwise, less cramped sleeping arrangements exist on the main deck.

The outside walls of all the pontoons, as well as the front and back edges of the main deck, have heavy wooden ramparts, allowing archers to safely fire from within the ship. Additionally, Artisan carved and pointed feathered serpent heads grace the front of each pontoon, on the belief that they will intimidate foes, and keep divine favor on the vessel.

Despite the ramparts, the Catamaras Warship's main advantage is its extreme stability, making in well suited to travelling the open ocean, or remaining stable in adverse weather. This makes it a vessel unusually suited to exploration or troop transport.

The Catamaran Warship replaces the Caravel, but has identical strength fro a lower cost. A Catamaran Warship costs 7 Naval Power, as opposed to the 10 power cost for a Caravel.
