CivWorldPowers Mk. II Megathread
Post Body

This post compiles all important links on CivWorldPowers Mk. II, the upcoming season of the Sid Meier's Civilization inspired RP sub.

Links

Many of these links can also be found in the sidebar. Which you already read, right? Right??

A Modest Proposal

The official pitch doc for CivWorldPowers Mk. II, and still a good source of information

New Player Information

If you're completely new to the sub, this link should help you out (a little). Feel free to ask questions at this link as well.

Nation Creation Station

The post for inventing your civ, and describing it's lore and nature to the other players.

World Map & Claims

The official resource and political map of the world. To actually place your nation on the map, you must post here. Do this after visiting the Nation Creation Station.

Research Megathread

Make tech roll requests here, rather than in their own post, to avoid sub congestion.

Medieval Era Tech Overview

Standard Unit Overview: Classical & Medieval

The Wiki

Our wiki is used as a place to compiling lore and important game statistics about each nation. Every player is expected to maintain a wiki page. It isn't hard, so please don't let that scare you off.

PSA on Role-Playing

A must red if you're new to the role-play format, or if you simply want to familiarize yourself with our sub's expectations.

The Spreadsheet

The mod-maintained document that covers most basic game statistics. The post linked above is where you can make complaints or suggestions.

The Rules

Rules can be found on the wiki here. If you have questions on the rules or need help with your wiki or ratios, the Discord chat is the best place to go (see the sidebar).

The Commandments

These are the unarguable rules of the sub. Mods will enforce these strictly, so please read them.

  1. Read and respect all the rules

  2. Be good to one another

  3. Don't metagame

  4. Act as a character, not as yourself

  5. Portray your nation well

  6. Respect the moderator decisions

  7. Do not needlessly argue every decision

  8. Do not propose your own rollme’s

  9. Do not rules-lawyer (unless you're a mod)

  10. Do not needlessly join wars

  11. Do not take it personally if you are losing/lost a war, or if your civ has suffered in-game

  12. Do not delete posts

  13. Flair your posts

  14. Follow all rules on the IRC

  15. Do not advertise on other subreddits

  16. Do not play to win

  17. No alt accounts. If we find out that you are using an alt, it is a permanent IP ban with no potential for unbanning. Trust us, we have ways of checking for alts.

Moderators to Remember

/u/Mob_cleaner: Basically the owner of the sub. He should be able to answer many of your questions.

/u/Dennysaurus539: Maintains the spreadsheet and rules doc. A good individual to link on spreadsheet or rules questions

/u/No_Eight: Maintains the map, in addition to helping with rules and spreadsheets. A good individual to link on map questions, and an individual you must link on posts such as settles.

/u/Captain-No-Beard: Does 99.9% of the CSS and formatting for the sub, and controls city-state actions as a neutral mod. Ask him if you want a flair customized. Also, you must link him in any City-State related posts or comments.

/u/BansheeClause: An individual highly dedicated to writing and performing rollme's. A good individual to link on posts that require rolls.

/u/PrincedeTalleyrand, /u/ThyReformer, and /u/LifeBeyondLiving: more individuals who are a good choice to link on posts requiring a rollme.
