The festivities at Khan Kargan's Camp will take place starting IRL tomorrow, starting with the Tygyrüktun, or fight to the death. Combatants will meet to settle age-old rivalries in the custom of our people; two enter the circle, one leaves. We expect this to last for one to two in-game hours. Representatives from foreign nations will get front-row seats, and gambling will be administered by the Violet Fate Sect (/u/dennysaurus539). Following the Tygyrüktun, we will hold a display of Gefehrlich culture in the form of throat-singing. It takes years of practice to become a master throat-singer, and is especially hard to do while riding a horse, as all the performers will be. (Meta: /u/Captain-No-Beard is an adept throat singer IRL. Just wanted to brag about that.) We expect this to last for half an hour to an hour. Next is the Khoomuyr, or horse race. The Khoomuyr is competed in by teams of two. The teams engage in an intense horse race around a long track, with one person steering the horse and the other attempting to lasso their opponents off of their horses. The last team standing wins, and riders are not allowed to stop moving. Alternatively, if a team can manage to complete five laps, they are the winner. Given that there are multiple rounds, we expect this to last an hour to an hour and a half. Next up, we have the archery contest. Archers are given a series of targets of increasing distances apart; foreigners are allowed to compete in this event, so (meta) leave a comment if you will be sending an archery team. Also tell me how much your people practice archery, so I can understand your general aptitude for it. After the distance contests, we have what is known as "skeet shooting," in which targets are hurled into the air and archers must attempt to knock the targets out of the sky. The final portion of the archery segment is a mounted accuracy contest, in which archers must attempt to hit targets while riding horses. This section will take two to two and a half hours. After that, there is more throat-singing, followed by a one-on-one match between Khan Kargan and a mystery opponent; this fight will not be to the death, as is it is an exhibition of Gefehrlich hand-to-hand combat for the benefit of the representatives.
