The title says it all.

Most of the core players from classics decided to fire the civ back up on Civmc. Sending things out with the whimper of an end that was the final year of classics just didn't feel right - and with this upcoming spring marking the decennial of the S.P.Q.R. as a faction in the civ genre, we thought it was worth trying to get things together to mark the anniversary in grand fashion.

Right now there are about 6 of us right now, we're set up in a small corner of the Continent of Impendia in the heart of the ,- where we're relatively close to Pavia (Gabon) and Jorvik (Varkonia) as well as several other very active newfriend nations. We're about to "go public" as it were to recruit more newfriends into the civ.

We started over from the ground up with regards to everything. And we're already pretty well set up with factories, tools, farms and complete xp production, we have a great location to build a great city - we're all pretty optimistic to make it the best Rome yet, and it would be incredible to see any other oldfriends drop by at some point.

Civmc launched at the beginning of June, its mechanics and a rebalanced continuation of civclassics in most ways, but with a new smaller map on version 1.18.2 with all of the new mobs, items, and blocks it brings with it. There's a full 1:1 nether, and some other new mechanics they've added in. The admin and dev teams so far have come across as active, fair, and involved - something I haven't been able to say for a long time.

Unlike classics - the server is not backwards compatible - you will need a 1.18.2 client to connect. The good news is most/all mods are up to date and we have several pre-built instances for anyone using multimc.
