Citizenship and Census Law

The following Law will be to streamline how citizenship is granted and recorded. These clauses make up the law and supplement the Census authority already outlined in the cosntitution.

1. As outlined in the constitution, the Princeps (and by extension any Censors appointed by the Princeps) have authority over granting citizenship and maintaining the Census. This law is to serve as a supplement to the relevant clauses in the constitution.

2. Citizenship requests are to be made publicly on /r/civSPQR or submitted via modmail to /r/civSPQR

3. Upon granting citizenship the new citizen must be listed on the Census along with all relevant information.

4. Every current citizen must have their information maintained on the Census; information on additional persons, such as past citizens may be maintained for posterity sake.

5. The following information is to be maintained on the Census:

• In-Game-Name

• Reddit user-name

• Discord user-name / user-handle.

• Date of citizenship granted (going back to June 25th the date the constitution was enacted)

• Date of last contact unless current.

• Any dual-citizenship held by the citizen

• Current ranks inside the S.P.Q.R.

• Past ranks inside the S.P.Q.R.

• The district the citizen primarily resides in.

• Public alts

6. The Census should be updated continually to reflect current information.

7. The Census should be published monthly as an announcement.

Please discuss, comment with suggested edits. When we're satisfied on a final draft we can move on to a vote. Also keep in mind we can revisit and amend this law later if appropriate.
