Team CivRealms gathered a lot of feedback from the community during and after beta. We took your feedback to heart and made a quality of life patch that we hope you enjoy. This patch will both lesson the grind and increase the security of the early game while making certain endgame features achievable sooner.

Quality of life patch 1.0 (live upon next server restart)

• Added some basic in-game tutorials for newfriends (more to come in future patches)

• Added a starter kit that includes

  • a bed (beds are now craft-able same as vanilla)
  • a fishing rod
  • sticks and flint
  • cookies

• Upon death players get 8 cookies (may or may not have a cool down in a future patch)

• Reduced the amount of breaks it takes to mine stone and cobble.

• Aqua Nether Portals are easier to find

• Increased stone reinforcements 100

• Increased iron reinforcements 750

• Increased diamond reinforcements 3000*

• Lowered the starting cost on the Kiln factory (first Furnace upgrade) from 8 to 2 Stamina and the repair cost to 2* Stamina from 8

• Added obsidian to the Furnace factory (second Furnace upgrade) with a cost of 5:1 stacks of sand to obsidian. Increased the Stamina cost to upgrade the factory from a kiln to a furnace to 24 Stamina but left the repair cost at 16 Stamina.

• Lowered drowning and lava damage (a tad more).

• A 40% reduction on the cost of manufacturing Mithril sheets (main cost of diamond tools/weapons and armor)

• Iron Picks now come fresh out of the factory with E2

• Steel Picks now come fresh out of the factory with E3 U2

• Mithril (Diamond) Picks will break stone same as vanilla

• Pearling Players will send a player to the prison realm (which is a playable copy of the overworld with ender looking skies)

TLDR: CivRealms Live version is less grindy and more fun!
