Hello everyone.

There is a new bot, called CivMint on the CivCrafterExchange discord server (https://discord.gg/Ztuqe8e) that everyone can use. You can create accounts for any existing asset on the system (can be currencies, company shares, bonds etc) and you can even create your own assets on the system, for others to create accounts for. Just join the server and find CivMint#9416 in the list of users and sent it a DM saying "help".

Here's a list of some important features:

• Create your own assets.
• Create as many accounts as you want, each account holding a specific asset.
• Add co-owners to your accounts to turn them into shared accounts.
• Send funds from your accounts to any other account. Obviously...
• Create new or fill existing orders on a market, selling an asset for another. You just need two accounts (one for each asset).
• View an asset report that gives users the required information to prove whether the bot owner (that's me) has conspired with the asset manager to covertly inflate a currency. This is done by showing the total amount in circulation in a verifiable manner. (although this system assumes that the "good" users of the asset will cooperate; the required info to expose inflation is given but users must stay vigilant and periodically utilize the asset report system)
• Assets can be permanently locked and the bot will not allow them to be further inflated.
• The balance of an account can optionally be made public which is useful if you need to prove how many shares of a company you own for example.

What this bot can do for you:

• If you have a city, try to make a fiat currency on the system and see if you can convince your citizens to use it (maybe even use it for taxes and "stimulating your economy" if you believe in that sort of thing).
• Why not make a hard currency? Backed by diamonds or iron or anything else. The bot already gives you the tools to prove that there is only an X amount of currency in circulation, so just allow auditors to check whether you have the same amount of diamonds/iron/whatever in your storage and you basically have a hard backed currency on this system!
• If you are running a company you can issue and sell shares for your company. Or you could sell bonds which you promise to buy back later at a higher price.

What this bot can't do:

• I can't find an easy way to prove that I haven't moved money from one account to my own account against the owner's will. I can always falsely claim that a "send" command was issued by the owner of the account. One way would be to ask all users to sign with GPG or something else all the commands that involve writing to their database, but this would just destroy the usability of the bot. If you have a better idea that doesn't destroy this amazing fully-textual^TM user experience, tell me about it.

I'd like to write a FAQ for the bot so please leave your questions and your requests for tutorials here and I'll try to answer both here and later in the FAQ.

Consider this a release candidate for the next 7 days but I don't intend to ever clean the database, in fact I haven't cleaned it between this version and the early alpha versions either.
